July Recap
a little bit of everything I want to share with you
Hi there,
I have seen some pieces like this floating around on here, and I absolutely love the idea of sharing the content I’ve explored this month with the lot of you.
It’s such a fun, intimate way to inspire your daily life, even if just through a simple recommendation.
I’ve decided to start sharing my monthly recommendations at the end of each month!
SUMMER SALE!!! In honour of summer, get 50% off a lifetime subscription with Coffee Break and spend your days soaking up the sun and reading my work!
Here is what I loved in July
July Watches
The Bear — omg literally such a phenomenal show, if you haven’t yet watched it, I highly, highly encourage you to do so as soon as possible.
1923 — Hi, okay, where do I even begin here? Literally, this series is so good, if you haven’t watched Yellowstone, firstly, have you been living under a rock? Second, watch 1883, then 1923, then Yellowstone. The entire trilogy is just insane. So well done. Everything about it is absolutely incredible. I cannot recommend it enough. Also obsessed with romanticizing cowboys and everything western right now because of it — toxic, I know.
July reads
On Earth We Were Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vyung
Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck
July Work (by me)
Wouldn’t feel right, unfortunately, in the world of social media marketing, to write a piece without promoting my own works, so here are my favourite pieces I wrote this month<3
Shameless self plug, actually.
I can’t put my phone down
When I was eighteen I found out that, at an age when I was too young to even realize what was going on in the world around me and mom had told me that dad was on a work trip in Mexico, my dad was actually in jail wrapping a shoelace around his esophagus in attempt to escape the misery of living as a failure in the eyes of no one but himself.
What I want from Glenn Martens at Margiela, by me for UnDressed, my new blog!
July Listens
I am absolutely always listening to an influx of music. Here is what I have really been loving this month
Patti Smith — naturally, but also because I saw her live, and you know how it goes; the admiration for the artist returns after you’ve seen them live, it always does.
Fontaines D.C. and The Smashing Pumpkins in preparation for their concerts this coming month, which I am so excited for
Radium Dolls are a really fun Australian band that I discovered earlier this month, and I’ve really been loving them this month
July Substack reads
